The detainee died in the Ryazan police. Relatives believe he was beaten to death

33-year-old Tomik Badoyan died in the Ryazan police, who was detained near his family's house in the village of Retkino on June 14. It is reported by Novaya Gazeta Ryazan. The security forces demanded that his mother tell where her husband was. Having received no answer, they decided to detain her son. Here is how the woman herself spoke about the detention of her son:

“Why they needed him [a husband], for what reason, they did not say. They were dressed in simple clothes, not in uniform. My son Tomik came out to the noise, saw that they were pushing me to the house, and stood up, said: do not touch my mother, who are you, why did you come? And they say: well, if you don’t say where the husband is, then we’ll take our son away, and they began to grab his hands.

For two days, relatives could not find Badoyan. A day after the arrest, unidentified persons took the recordings from surveillance cameras on a rural street, explaining that the recordings were needed allegedly to investigate the theft of a motorcycle. On June 16, Badoyan's family received a call from the UK and was informed that he had died.

His uncle stated that there were numerous injuries on his nephew's body. Badoyan's front teeth and cheekbone were knocked out. The relative stated about the unnatural position of the chest and suggested that his ribs were broken.

According to the publication, the family was not allowed to organize an independent forensic examination, and in the official conclusion, the state expert did not indicate the cause of death.
