RIA Novosti , Rossiyskaya Gazeta , RT and other publications published notes with catchy headlines "Media: Putin's ominous warning caused panic in the US" and "Russia thwarted US attempt to ignite a nuclear conflict in Ukraine." The Russian media are retelling an English-language article from the InfoBRICS portal by a certain Drago Bosnich, in which he tells how Vladimir Putin outplayed everyone.
According to Bosnich, when in December 2022 the Russian president announced that the United States had a theory of a preemptive strike and Russia could adopt American developments in this area, he “foresaw NATO’s plans,” because immediately after that the United States started talking about sending F fighters to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. -16, "capable of carrying nuclear charges." This initiative, the author writes, will sooner or later lead to the fact that Ukraine wants to strike at Moscow, which is the ultimate goal of the United States. But now NATO's cunning plans have collapsed – all thanks to Putin's foresight.
“Thus, Putin’s warning became a signal to the White House that Russia is aware of all the plans of the West, which cannot but alarm NATO,” writes RIA Novosti.
First, claims that Ukraine needs F-16 fighter jets to carry out nuclear strikes on Russia have no basis. The F-16 is a multi-role fighter that has many modifications, some of which are actually capable of carrying a nuclear weapon. At the same time, the F-16 is one of the most popular fighter jets in the world, which is in service with many countries, including those that, unlike Ukraine, do have nuclear weapons: the United States, Israel and Pakistan. However, their presence has never led to any nuclear conflicts. Only Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov can claim that Ukraine, with the help of the F-16s delivered to it, will be able to drop atomic bombs on Moscow, which it simply does not have.
Secondly, Bosnich's theses themselves are not particularly logical and contradict each other. If Putin "caused panic" in the US with his threats, why, after his speech, did the US, on the contrary, start talking about deliveries of F-16s to Ukraine? And how, then, did the statement of the Russian president prevent a nuclear conflict? Looking at this sequence of actions, one can assume the exact opposite: Washington is no longer so afraid of Putin that, despite his threats, they decided to supply fighter jets.
Finally, the author of the article, Drago Bosnich, and the InfoBRICS portal, on which it was published, deserve attention. Judging by the link that is attached to Bosnich's name on the site, he is the creator of the CerFunhouse Telegram channel. The channel's description states, "Just another comedy channel for those who prefer anything but this." Although he is signed on the InfoBRICS website as an “independent geopolitical and military analyst,” it was not possible to find anything about his education or scientific merits on the Web. He also writes articles for the obscure portalThe Communists , which is signed as "The Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist)" and Global Research (as The Insider already wrote , this is the site of a Canadian anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist, which has recently published laudatory articles About Russia).
The InfoBRICS portal itself is called "Chinese" by some Russian media. However, his domain is registered in Moscow by Inforos Co. The Inforos news agency became known in the West in the summer of 2020: it coordinated a whole network of little-known sites in different languages that spread fakes about COVID-19 in the USA, France , Estonia and other countries. According to the US and Estonian authorities, the leaders of Inforos, Alexander Starunsky and Denis Tyurin, are employees of the GRU. Now the news agency is under sanctions from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. In Russia, Inforos is a supplier to many government departments, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, etc. And in 2021, Putin appointed the head of the news agency, Denis Tyurin, a member of the scientific council under the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
