The SBU detained in the Donetsk region the administrator of the pro-Kremlin Telegram channel, which “leaked” the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained in the Donetsk region the administrator of the pro-Kremlin Telegram channel, which “leaked” the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eastern front. The message was published in the Telegram channel of the service.

He is suspected of disseminating information about the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, as well as the deployment and movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law (part 2 of article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Now he is in custody, he faces up to 8 years in prison.

The detainee's name has not been released. It is known that this is a resident of the Pokrovsky district, who, after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, created a Telegram channel and published electronic maps there with marks of the places of basing and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdiivka direction.

He also published information about the consequences of Russian air strikes in the area and "illuminated" the coordinates of the affected Ukrainian facilities. In addition, the channel administrator spread fake Kremlin propaganda about the situation in the region. Among the main users of the channel were representatives of the Russian special services and combatants, the SBU established.
