Madonna has postponed the start of her world tour after she was admitted to the intensive care unit with a severe bacterial infection on June 24, according to the BBC.
According to her manager, Guy Ozeri, she is "on the road to a full recovery." It was planned that the 64-year-old star's world tour, timed to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of the release of the single Holiday, will begin in July and will include 84 concerts.
Madonna was set to return to stadium performances after the Madame X series of theater shows in 2019 and 2020. Some of these performances were canceled due to injuries to the singer's leg and thigh.
Earlier it became known that the tour of the Rammstein group was postponed, as the prosecutor's office of Berlin opened a criminal case under the article on rape against the lead singer of Rammstein, Till Lindemann. Women who were invited to after-concert parties organized specifically for the vocalist spoke of being sexually assaulted without their consent.
