The independent deputies of the City Council of Novosibirsk were deprived of mandates

The city council of Novosibirsk by a majority of votes deprived independent deputies Helga Pirogova and Sergey Boyko of their mandates. According to Taiga, the prosecutor's office sought to terminate the mandates

According to the prosecutor's office, Pirogova and Boyko did not file income declarations. Pirogova insisted that she had filed a declaration, while Boyko stated that he was not allowed to speak via video link at a meeting of the anti-corruption commission and present his position.

United Russia had to collect 26 votes to deprive the mandates. As a result, 38 people voted for the removal of Sergei Boyko (one against), Helga Pirogova – 38 (one against). The deputies intend to appeal this decision in court.

The deputies themselves are not in Russia.
