Media manager Ilya Krasilshchik was sentenced in absentia to 8 years in the “fake” case because of a post about Bucha and an interview, Mediazona reports.
He was also banned from using the Internet for 4 years. The Dyer himself currently resides in Germany.
The prosecution requested nine years in prison for Dyer. The Dyer had previously published his appeal to the court:
Dear Court,
Today you find me guilty of creating a real threat to the Russian army. Today is June 28, that is, 4 days have passed since the armed rebellion: everything ended well for the rebels there, the capture of the city, 6 downed helicopters and 1 plane are punishable by nothing. An Instagram post and one interview about the real crimes of the Russian army in Bucha – how much is that? 6 years? 8? 7 as a compromise?
The rebellion was 4 days ago. And yesterday the Russian Iskander hit Kramatorsk and killed at least 10 civilians. What is this? What laws will be punished? And by what court?
There is no logic in what is happening, so let's not pretend. Courts decide nothing, laws mean nothing, and I'm not here at all.
Since there is no logic and sense, then the wish is appropriate: I ask you to replace my punishment with a trip to Belarus, the village of Lyudenevichi, Gomel region. This is the former town from which all my family came from on my father's side. Those who did not come out were destroyed in 1941, the whole family, more than 10 people. They were killed by real fascists, not fictional ones.
The same as you.
