According to the decree of the government of the Russian Federation, the monetary allowance of military personnel and "employees of some federal executive bodies" will be increased by 10.5%.
This will happen on October 1, 2023. According to the document, in addition to conscripts and contractors, salaries will be increased for the National Guard, police officers, employees of the criminal investigation department and the Federal Penitentiary Service, as well as customs officers.
In addition, pensions will be increased separately for former employees of the bodies for the control of the circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as members of their families. The costs will be covered from the budget.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Federal Customs Service, the Federal Security Service, the Federal Penitentiary Service, the FSSP, the State Fiscal Service, the SVR, the GUSP, the Investigative Committee, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Russian Guard came up with the initiative to increase the allowance for the security forces in January.
