Traffic jam at the entrance to the Crimean bridge from the Kuban reached 13 km

The traffic jam at the entrance to the Crimean bridge from the Krasnodar Territory has grown to 13 km. This was announced by the regional headquarters.

Volunteers are distributing water to people, dry closets have been set up at the entrance to the bridge. Medics and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are on duty at the scene. The headquarters asks drivers to “take into account the traffic situation” when planning a trip to Crimea and “allow time to pass the necessary checks.”

The queue formed on July 1, as the waiting time for the inspection of cars was five hours. Mostly in a traffic jam are people who went to the Crimea to rest. Along with passenger cars, several hundred trucks are waiting to enter the bridge.

On October 8 last year, a truck exploded on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge. Due to the explosion, the tanks of a train passing along the railway part of the bridge caught fire. Four people died . The authorities of the annexed peninsula said that “Ukrainian vandals” were behind the sabotage. Later, the Russian authorities blamed the explosion on the special services of Ukraine.

The FSB said that the organizer of the explosion on the Crimean bridge on October 8 is the head of military intelligence of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov. Another 12 people were allegedly involved in the attack, most of them have already been detained in Moscow.

After that, only buses and cars were allowed to cross the bridge, all vehicles are carefully inspected.
