A report on “LGBT propaganda” among minors was drawn up against the CEO of Yandex

A report on “LGBT propaganda” among minors was drawn up against the CEO of Yandex, Artem Savinovsky. This was brought to the attention of Mediazona.

The administrative case was registered by the judicial district of the justice of the peace No. 101 in the center of Moscow. A date for the hearing has not yet been set. What was the reason for the protocol is unknown.

Savinovsky became CEO of the company a year ago. Since May 2016, he has been in charge of the media services department, which is developing KinoPoisk, Yandex.Music and Yandex.Plus.

Previously, several online cinemas were fined for showing films featuring LGBT themes. On December 5, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning "LGBT propaganda". There are no precise definitions in this law, and in fact it applies to a person with any orientation. For example, it can attract people who openly talk about their unwillingness to have children – “childfree”. For more details, see the article “ Judges and policemen will decide on the spot”. Under the law on “gay propaganda”, even childfree people can be fined .
