In St. Petersburg, the police detained suspects in the attack on lawyer Elena Ponomaryova, who poured green paint on her, RBC reports .

The detainees are two men born in 1984 and 1998. A case of hooliganism has been opened (part 1 of article 213 of the Criminal Code).

Unknown persons attacked Ponomaryova the day before at a public transport stop on Rublevsky Highway in Moscow. Ponomareva received a retinal burn due to the fact that brilliant green got into her eyes. The lawyer believes that the attack is related to her professional activities: before that, she received threats in instant messengers, sent photos of her relatives, dogs and property, which indicates surveillance. In addition, the attackers doused her car with paint, punctured tires. The lawyer contacted the police, but to no avail.

Baza wrote that the attack could be related to the case of Lytkarinsky City Court Judge Sergei Kotov, in which Ponomaryova was a witness.
