Twitter has threatened to sue Meta Platforms over its new Threads platform, which is similar to Elon Musk's social network. The news comes from a letter sent to CEO of Facebook parent company Mark Zuckerberg by Twitter lawyer Alex Spiro. The letter states that Meta has taken over numerous Twitter employees who "had and continue to have access to Twitter's trade secrets and other highly sensitive information."
Meta launched Threads on Wednesday, July 5, with more than 30 million subscribers registered on the social network, the company hopes to compete with Twitter, promoting the new social network among the billions of Instagram users. Twitter users are also registering in Threads, as the latter social network is experiencing many technical problems after the purchase of the company by Elon Musk.
At the same time, the network is joking, recalling the mass layoffs of employees by Musk, who also wrote that "such geniuses will easily find work somewhere else."
