The Russian government has approved a decree that gives the FSB official access to taxi aggregator databases.
Passenger data will be provided upon out-of-court and out-of-procedure requests. The deadline for the execution of a request marked "urgent" is three days, the usual one is ten. In particular, we are talking about electronic monitoring of geolocation and data on means of payment.
The draft law obliging taxi services and taxi companies to transfer data to the FSB was prepared by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation last spring. It is called "On the organization of transportation of passengers and luggage by passenger taxis in the Russian Federation and on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation."
Also, data from taxi services will be transmitted to the Regional Navigation and Information System, a platform for managing and monitoring transport infrastructure in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
