494 children died in Ukraine in 500 days of war – Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine

494 children died in Ukraine during the 500 days of the war, at least 1051 children were injured of varying severity. This data is not final, information is being established in the places of active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied territories. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in the official Telegram channel.

According to the agency, most children were affected in Donetsk (472), Kharkiv (297) and Kyiv (129) regions. There are also affected children in Kherson (115), Zaporozhye (91), Mykolaiv (89), Dnepropetrovsk (83), Chernihiv (71) and Lugansk (67) regions.

In total, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, 94,000 war crimes have been recorded, more than 10,500 civilians have died, and 115,000 civilian infrastructure facilities have been destroyed, Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin said . Now, according to the prosecutor's office, 353 people are in the status of suspects, 219 are in the status of defendants, 53 people have received sentences in Ukrainian courts.
