Aeroflot aircraft named after Zhirinovsky

Aeroflot Group named one of its aircraft, a Boeing 737-900ER airliner, after Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the first leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, who died on April 6, 2022. The photo was published by the Aviatorschina Telegram channel.

The aircraft will be operated by Rossiya Airlines. According to the sources of the Telegram-channel "Rise" in the industry, the Zhirinovsky Vladimir Volfovich aircraft previously belonged to the Indonesian Lion Air, now it will operate flights from St. Petersburg and Moscow to Sochi, as well as from Siberian cities to Thailand.

In mid-June, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the Liberal Democratic Party made a presentation of the Zhirinovsky neural network , which has the voice of a politician. The network has been called the "digital apprentice" of the deceased founder of the party. At the presentation of Zhirinovsky, the network was asked: “What to do with Ukraine?” In response, the neural network responded in the voice of Zhirinovsky: “We need to close the borders and forget about it. Russia should take care of its citizens, and not waste its resources on an unpredictable Ukraine.”

After Zhirinovsky's death, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the politician's prophecies were based on "knowledge and understanding of the situation." The President did not quote the specific words of the founder of the Liberal Democratic Party, but Zhirinovsky claimed back in 2021 that the next year would not be peaceful, and hinted at a possible outbreak of hostilities in February 2022.

Zhirinovsky died on April 6, 2022 at the age of 76. He contracted the coronavirus in early February, was transferred to a ventilator against the background of pneumonia, and on February 26 he was put into an artificial coma. Member of the same party Alexander Pronyushkin claimed that Zhirinovsky died on March 25, without leaving a coma. According to one version, his body was kept in the morgue for two weeks in order to “show farewell to Putin,” since no one can approach the president without observing a 14-day quarantine.
