The title of “Miss Netherlands 2023” was first received by a transgender participant – 22-year-old Ricky Colle, reports Le Figaro with reference to the Dutch radio station NOS.
“I have overcome so much mentally and physically. I am grateful that I heard my name when the final casting was announced. I was very nervous, but at the same time I was very motivated, I really wanted to take this opportunity, ”Kolle wrote on her social networks.
Collet will now represent the Netherlands at the next Miss Universe pageant this year in El Salvador.
