A jury in the Sergiev Posad City Court of the Moscow Region found six associates of neo-Nazi Maxim Martsinkevich (Tesak) guilty of killing migrants. It is reported by Mediazona.
Semyon Tokmakov and Andrei Kail were found guilty on two counts of murder. Alexei Gudilin, Alexander Lysenkov, Maxim Khotulev and Pavel Khrulev – one episode each.
All of them are charged with the murder of two migrants at the Tesak family's dacha in the Smolensk region in September 2003, and two more on the territory of an abandoned camp site in the Sergiev Posad district in December 2003. According to investigators, the murders were committed motivated by ethnic hatred.
All six defendants gave confessions during the investigation, but at the trial they retracted their words and did not admit their guilt.
In 2018, Martsinkevich (Tesak) was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a series of crimes, including murders motivated by ethnic hatred. On September 16, 2020, he was found dead in a cell in the Chelyabinsk pre-trial detention center. The investigation claims that it was a suicide, in connection with which they refused to investigate the case. Relatives of Martsinkevich claim that he was killed. In one of his suicide notes, the neo-Nazi claimed that he had slandered himself and his associates by telling investigators about the murders they had committed.
