Ukrainian and Russian sources reported the death of Lieutenant General Oleg Tsokov

Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Vadim Boychenko, Pyotr Andryushchenko, on the morning of July 11, announced that Russian Lieutenant General Oleg Tsokov had died in the region of occupied Berdyansk. Toward evening, confirmation of this information began to appear in Russian Z-channels.

So, in one of them they wrote about the quality of intelligence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which significantly exceeds the Russian one: “As a result of a missile attack on a reserve command post [command post] in Berdyansk, General Tsokov was killed.” Another spoke directly about the fact that after "a strike by Storm Shadow cruise missiles, the deputy commander of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant General Oleg Tsokov, was killed."

According to Andryushchenko, the nighttime missile attack hit the Dune Hotel, which housed the Russian military leadership. He states that now the building is completely destroyed, and the area around it is cordoned off. The channel "Berdyansk Now" wrote about a series of loud explosions at 3:30 am. The work of the Russian air defense was also noted.

From official sources it is known about the death of five major generals of the Russian army and one captain of the 1st rank. Thus, if Tsokov died, then he would become the most senior representative of the Russian command who died in the war.
