The Ministry of Defense stated that PMC Wagner handed over to the military “more than 2 thousand pieces of equipment and weapons”

The Ministry of Defense stated that the Wagner PMC mercenaries handed over their military equipment, as well as weapons, to the RF Armed Forces.

“More than 2,000 pieces of equipment and weapons have been transferred. Including hundreds of heavy weapons: T-90, T-80, T-72B3 tanks, Grad and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun systems, 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mounts 122-mm, 2S3 "Acacia" 152-mm, 2S5 "Hyacinth" 152-mm, 2S4 "Tulip" 240-mm, howitzers and anti-tank guns, mortar systems, multi-purpose armored tractors, armored personnel carriers, as well as vehicles and small arms. More than 2,500 tons of various ammunition and about 20,000 small arms have also been received.”

The report also states that “dozens of units” of equipment have never been used in combat conditions. Recall that earlier the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that his mercenaries were experiencing a large shortage of weapons. Prigozhin demanded directly from the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu and the commander of the United Group of Forces Valery Gerasimov to provide shells and ammunition to the mercenaries.
