The ex-mayor of Nizhny Novgorod and State Duma deputy from United Russia Vadim Bulavinov said that he did not beat his ex-wife Nadezhda Teplyuk, but only pushed her. The couple have been divorced for three years.
According to Bulavinov, last Sunday he learned that the ex-wife had been cheating on him for three years (he did not specify whether during the marriage or after the divorce), collected her things and put them in the garage. She allegedly found out about this and arrived, starting a conflict, says Bulavinov. According to him, during the conflict, he pushed her, but did not beat her.
“I don’t know, it’s really very hard for me now, of course, it’s bad. Unfortunately, I still love her,” Bulavinov said in a conversation with the Ni Mash Telegram channel.
According to her lawyer Nikita Kubasov, the deputy attacked the ex-wife on July 3, when she came to pick up her things – the parliamentarian's assistants allegedly told the woman that her things were being thrown out of the house where the couple had previously lived together. At the same time, a number of sources write that Teplyuk was called by her ex-husband's housekeeper and sent a message with a request to pick up things from the garage. On the spot, she found a drunken ex-husband, Ni Mash wrote. According to her lawyer, the deputy began to say something inarticulate, after which he grabbed the ex-wife and began to beat her.
The woman was helped to escape by a driver and a housekeeper, after which she went to the emergency room, where she took off the beatings, writes RTVI. She was diagnosed with a closed nose fracture, abrasions and bruises, the lawyer said. Bulavinov himself believes that this is a provocation, and behind her is the new lover of the ex-wife – Pavel Grachev, once an assistant to the former chairman of the board of Russian Communal Systems OJSC Sergey Yashechkin, who was convicted of fraud. According to the deputy, Grachev wants to sue him as much money as possible.
