PepsiCo has stopped production of Pepsi, 7UP and Mountain Dew carbonated drinks in Russia. Reuters writes about it.
The news agency got the information from PepsiCo itself after they toured dozens of Russian supermarkets and found drinks with production dates in July and August. The most recent batch was produced on 17 August.
PepsiCo confirmed that all concentrates for the manufacture of carbonated drinks in Russia have been used up, and production has been discontinued.
In early March, PepsiCo announced that it was ending advertising and beverage sales in Russia. PepsiCo Inc. owns the brands Tropicana, Lay's, Cheetos, Doritos and others.
In total, according to Yale University, since the beginning of the war, more than 1,000 companies have closed their Russian business. Among them are Mc'Donalds, Microsoft, Netflix, Johnson & Johnson, H&M, etc.
