Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners of war for the fourth time in the last two weeks. The Russian Defense Ministry said that 50 Russian servicemen have been released, they will be delivered by plane to Moscow for rehabilitation, TASS reports .
The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said that Kiev also returned 50 people, including Azovstal defenders and participants in the battles in Mariupol.
“We are returning the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, we are returning the prisoners and the wounded in Yelenovka, including those in the battles in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozhye directions,” Yermak wrote in the Telegram channel.
On the morning of December 1, the head of the self-proclaimed DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced the exchange of prisoners. According to him , among the liberated 12 fighters are from the “DPR”, eight from the “LPR”.
Prior to this, Russia and Ukraine held an exchange of prisoners of war on 23, 24 and 26 November.
