Former film producer Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty in another rape case. The case dealt with the charges of four women, the jury found the defendant guilty on one of the statements.
The three charges on which he was convicted – rape, sexual penetration and forced oral copulation – were filed by a model and actress who claimed the movie mogul assaulted her in a Beverly Hills hotel room in February 2013.
The applicant appears in the case as "Jane Doe number one", it is known that this is a former model, a native of Russia, writes the BBC.
On the charges of three more "Jane Doe" jurors could not reach a common decision. Two of the applicants chose to reveal their identities themselves – this is the wife of California Governor Jennifer Siebel Newsom, as well as screenwriter Lauren Young. Weinstein pleaded not guilty to all seven charges against him.
Weinstein now faces another 24-year prison term. He is currently serving a 23-year sentence for similar crimes. He was convicted in early 2020.
