The Ministry of Internal Affairs put Bellingcat investigator Hristo Grozev on the federal wanted list. The card says that Grozev is wanted "under the article of the Criminal Code." It is not known which article is in question.
In a conversation with The Insider, Grozev said that he did not know what article he was charged with: “I really did not know and do not know under which article. I don't think they can apply the defamatory article to foreigners, so they probably came up with something else."
Updated : According to RIA Novosti, a case has been opened under an article for "spreading fakes about the Russian army."
In the summer, the FSB accused Grozev of helping Ukrainian intelligence, which, according to the agency, was planning to hijack a Russian military aircraft. Grozev himself said that he only "led a chronicle of one of the most stupid counterintelligence operations of all time":
