The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow sent 18-year-old activist Maxim Lypkan to a pre-trial detention center until April 20, the press service of the Moscow courts reports .
Lypkan was accused of spreading "fake news" about the Russian army motivated by political hatred (paragraph "e" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
According to Mediazona, the case was opened because of an interview with Radio Liberty, published on February 18. The activist told reporters about anti-war actions and about an attempt to coordinate with the Moscow City Hall the “Year of Hell” action on Lubyanka Square on February 24.
“With inexorable pace, we are approaching the moment when Putin’s chauvinist government is inciting war in the sovereign and, undoubtedly, in the proud country of Ukraine, killing civilians in Ukraine, bombarding residential buildings, destroying cities and leaving behind thousands of human victims. I officially announce the holding of a rally on Lubyanka Square on February 24th. Come out, and most importantly, do not be silent about the crimes of Putin's fascist government, which brings pain and suffering not only within the country, but also abroad, ”Lypkan wrote in his Telegram channel .
He was denied approval for this action. After filing the application, Lypkan was detained by the police, and protocols were drawn up against him on “discrediting” the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and on violation of the rules for organizing a public event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
On February 21, searches came to the activist and his father. Lypkan was taken to the Investigative Committee for interrogation.
