RIA Novosti and Rossiyskaya Gazeta continue to look for Kremlin supporters in the West. This time they recounted an article from the newspaper Mysl Polska, in which its author (who is also the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Jan Engelhard) complains that Poland, due to its Russophobia, is "unable to see the real state of affairs in Ukraine." In general, the material is a set of fakes that Vladimir Putin has been imposing on Russians in recent years.
“According to the author, there is no discussion in the Polish media about the role of the West, led by the United States, in fomenting tensions around Ukraine, their involvement in the coup in Kiev and deceiving Russia in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.<…>
In Poland, they lose sight of the fact that the actions of Russia, which the media accuses of genocide and barbarism, do not closely resemble the total wars unleashed, for example, by the United States against Yugoslavia and Iraq.<…>
The publicist called the existence of a “single Ukrainian nation” another myth. According to Engelgradt, now this conviction prevails, since the Kiev authorities have been consistently exterminating all those who advocate dialogue with Russia for eight years.
In conclusion, the author claims that a significant part of Ukrainians are still in favor of Russia, but are afraid to express their opinion in connection with the "forced military situation of national unity." And then comes a completely absurd passage: according to Engelhard, even those Ukrainians who fled the war to Poland actually support the Russian Federation. Proof? “Together, when no one is listening, [refugees] speak Russian.”
The article cited above is only an opinion written by the editors of the newspaper, and therefore there is not much point in refuting this. But Mysl Polska itself deserves attention, publishing almost daily material praising Putin and justifying the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In August 2022, Slovak, Czech and Polish investigators discovered that a Polish newspaper was supplying content for one of Russia's most notorious propaganda publications, NewsFront, which The Insider wrote was linked to the Foreign Intelligence Service. The US Treasury agrees with this, which in 2021 imposed sanctions against this site for its connection with Russian intelligence services.
European journalists noticed that a significant part of the articles of the Polish version of NewsFront was simply copied from the Mysl Polska website.

Our analysis shows that more than 200 articles from Polskaya Thought were reprinted in the Polish version of NewsFront. At least 10 articles from Mysl Polska were translated into Russian and published on the Russian site NewsFront. The texts are stamped that they do not always reflect the editorial point of view.”
The editor-in-chief of Mysl Polska is the nationalist Jan Engelhard, who wrote the book "The Virus of Russophobia". A regular contributor to the newspaper is also Mateusz Piskorski, a former MP who was charged in 2016 with spying for Russia and China (the criminal investigation is ongoing). Piskorsky was also the founder and leader of the pro-Kremlin Peremena party, and he also created the European Center for Geopolitical Analysis. According to OCCRP, in May 2013, the organization received 21,000 euros through Crystalord Ltd., which investigators describe as part of the “Russian financial mega-laundromat,” through this scheme billions of dollars were siphoned out of Russia. The purpose of the payment to the Center is "consulting services".
Piskorsky was also an observer at a fake referendum to join Russia in annexed Crimea. In 2014, he took part in a conference in St. Petersburg entitled "Neo-fascism in Europe: 70 years later", which was organized by the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation and the Center for National Glory, led by the ex-president of Russian Railways and Putin's ally in the Ozero cooperative » Vladimir Yakunin. It is ironic that Piskorsky himself is an open admirer of National Socialism, a Holocaust denier, an author of articles on the White World portal and in the newspaper I am Russian, a former editor-in-chief of the Polish skinhead magazine Odala, which extolled the "Aryan race" and Adolf Gitler.
The Piskorsky European Center for Geopolitical Analysis promotes the ideas of Eurasianism, the ideologist of which is the fascist Alexander Dugin. Not surprisingly, the articles of the latter regularly appear in Mysl Polska. The editors of the newspaper also published Dugin's book Manifesto of the Great Awakening and Wartime Writings, which was translated and edited by Piskorsky. Dugin's fans tried to hold a presentation of the book at the Gdansk University of Technology in October 2022, but after a wave of indignation, the administration of the educational institution refused to rent the hall.
