A witness for the prosecution, testifying at the trial of the ex-head of Alexei Navalny's headquarters in Ufa, Lilia Chanysheva, said that the police had kidnapped her and tried to recruit her. This is reported by Navalny's team. Chanysheva's lawyer clarified that the girl burst into tears, answering the questions of the state prosecutor, and the court adjourned.
The witness said that she did not consider Chanysheva's work at the headquarters illegal. According to the girl, in February 2022, she was kidnapped by two police officers, brought to the police station, and there an employee of the Center "E" by the name of Ishmukhametov tried to recruit her, offering a payment for cooperation – 12 thousand rubles a month. In case of refusal, he threatened a criminal case. According to the witness, she was frightened and signed the paper that Ishmukhametov gave, but later reported this incident to Chanysheva.
The former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Ufa is accused of creating an extremist community, calling for extremism and creating an organization that violates the rights of citizens. On the basis of the charges, Chanysheva faces up to 18 years in prison. She was arrested in Ufa in November 2021, after which she was sent to Moscow. In February 2023, Chanysheva was transferred to Ufa. Her case is considered by the Kirovsky court of the city.
In 2022, during the trial of Alexei Navalny in the Vladimir Region, one of the witnesses for the prosecution, ex-FBK employee Fyodor Gorozhanko, called the case fabricated and stated that the investigator forced him to memorize his testimony. Shortly thereafter, Gorozhanko left Russia.
