The Russian Ministry of Defense commented on the morning drone attack on Moscow, accusing Kiev of terrorism. The Insider quotes the full Defense Department statement:
This morning, the Kyiv regime launched a terrorist attack with unmanned aerial vehicles on objects in the city of Moscow.
Eight aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were involved in the attack. All enemy drones are hit.
Three of them were suppressed by electronic warfare, lost control and deviated from their intended targets.
Another five unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun system in the Moscow region.
Baza previously reported that more than 20 drones could have been involved in the attack on Moscow. According to the channel Shot, it was about more than 30 aircraft.
Aleksey Rogozin (son of Dmitry Rogozin), the head of the ANO "Center for the Development of Transport Technologies", stated that aircraft-type drones with the "duck" aerodynamic configuration were used for the attack:
“The power plant is with an internal combustion engine, a wingspan of at least 4 meters and a theoretical range of 400 to 1000 km. The cost can be estimated at $30,000-200,000 for each device.”
Recall that as a result of the morning attack, at least 3 drones crashed into residential buildings, one of them carried explosive devices that did not detonate.
The emergency services told RIA Novosti that in Moscow one UAV hit a house on Profsoyuznaya Street , 98, and another one hit a 24-storey residential building on Atlasova Street in New Moscow . At Profsoyuznaya, a drone crashed into the upper floors of a house, the facade and glazing of the building were destroyed, and residents of three entrances were evacuated. On Atlasova Street, as a result of a drone hit, the facade of the house and the glazing of the upper floors were also destroyed. Also, one drone flew into the house 92k 1 on Leninsky Prospekt .
