The guardian of a boy who died in a foster family in Yekaterinburg was charged with the murder of a minor, torture and fraud. As the local edition E1.RU writes , the investigation claims that Veronika Naumova, having hidden the death of the child, continued to receive payments for him.
On June 26, the guardian of six-year-old Daler Bobiev reported his disappearance, but two days later admitted that the child was dead. The woman said that the boy accidentally drowned in the bathroom, and she got scared and hid the body in the garage. On June 29, the child was found.
On the same day, more than a thousand residents of Yekaterinburg gathered to honor the memory of the boy. To the house where he lived, and the garage where his body lay, people carried toys, candles and notes.
A criminal case was initiated on a possible malfeasance on the part of the guardianship authorities, which “did not take the necessary measures to establish the circumstances of the life of a minor in the family of the guardian, which made it possible to hide the incident for a long time.”
In total, six children were brought up in the Naumova family. The father of the family is now fighting in Ukraine. Investigators believe that he could not have been unaware of Daler's death, since he came home for several weeks in March.
