Businessman and former CEO of the Forum company Dmitry Mikhalchenko received 20 years in a strict regime colony on charges of embezzling funds during the construction of Vladimir Putin's residence in Novo-Ogaryovo and creating a criminal community. He was also fined 1 million rubles. It is reported by Interfax.
Andrey Kaminov, the former director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Ateks of the Federal Security Service, also received a verdict in this case: he was sentenced to 15 years in a strict regime colony with a fine of 900 thousand rubles.
In addition, the former head of the Engineering and Technical Support Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General of the Reserve Igor Vasilyev, as well as the head of one of the departments of this service, Colonel Dmitry Ulitin, were sentenced to terms. They received six and five years in prison in total with fines of 500 thousand rubles, respectively. They were also stripped of their military ranks.
The former general director of the Stroyfasad company, Sergei Litvinov, received 11 years in a strict regime colony and 600,000 fines. The former head of the company "Climate Prof" Boris Maltsev – 3 years in a penal colony and 500 thousand fines.
The investigation found that during the construction of various objects of the residence, more than 1.2 billion rubles were stolen.
The case of embezzlement during the construction of the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in Novo-Ogaryovo was separated from the case against Dmitry Mikhalchenko on the smuggling of elite alcohol, for which he had already received 4 years and 7 months in prison. Mikhalchenko was detained in March 2016. The case was initiated after the discovery in the port of Ust-Luga of containers with cognac worth about half a million rubles per bottle without the necessary documents.
In January, FSO Lieutenant Colonel Aleksey Golokhvostov was accused of accepting bribes during the reconstruction of Putin's residence in Novo-Ogaryovo. At the end of May, he was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Golokhvostov worked in the capital construction department of the FSO. The total amount of the bribe was estimated at 20 million rubles. He himself denies guilt.
In the same case, in July 2020, Stanislav Kuner, the former deputy general director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Ateks of the Federal Security Service of Russia, was sentenced to eight years in prison and a fine of 1.5 million rubles.
