This was stated by the expert of the Republican Institute of Political and Sociological Research (RIPSI) Sergey Yukhin "based on the results of polls conducted at the exit from the polling stations."
At the same time, a resident of Kherson told The Insider that in the city, not only civilians with ballot boxes and ballots, but also people with machine guns in masks came to almost every courtyard to collect votes.
“Passers-by were stopped and forced to vote, many said that they didn’t live here, then they checked their registration. People refused to vote by any means,” the interlocutor said.
According to him, the situation is the same in the villages of the Golopristan district: two people with machine guns and two civilians went from house to house, forcing the residents to vote.
The propaganda agency claims that the turnout in all regions where "referendums" are held has already exceeded 50%. So, by Monday evening, 63.58% allegedly voted in the Kherson region.
The head of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, said on September 27 that the Federation Council could consider the entry of new subjects into Russia on October 4, with positive results of the "referenda". According to her, now there is no need for an extraordinary meeting of the chamber.
“We respect the will of the residents of the DNR, LNR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and if such is the will on their part, we will certainly support joining Russia. I believe that we are ready to consider (laws) on the 4th, if everything is confirmed.”
Senator Andrei Klishas also suddenly announced that there was no need for an extraordinary meeting of the Federation Council, and even more so "in some kind of artificial acceleration of the constitutional procedure for admitting new subjects to Russia." According to the senator, the procedure will require "coordinated work of several constitutional authorities and, ultimately, amendments to the text of the country's Constitution," but there is no need to speed up the constitutional order. He explained that it was about changing the 65th article of the Constitution, which lists the regions that are part of Russia.
Interfax reported that in total about 750 thousand residents of the Kherson region were included in the voter lists. “Referendums” in Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine have been held since Friday. Kazakhstan , Serbia and Turkey decided not to recognize their results. The United Kingdom, in turn, imposed sanctions against the organizers of "referendums" in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
