The Ministry of Education sent a course program for basic military training to four Moscow universities, Kommersant writes . The Basics of Military Training module may appear in Russian universities in the new academic year.
In a cover letter sent to universities, the Ministry of Education and Science writes that the preparation of Russians for military service is "a priority area of state policy." It is expected that within the framework of the course, students will study the main provisions of Russian general military regulations. They will be trained in the organization and methods of combat, assembling AK-74 and RPK-74 assault rifles and machine guns, and a Makarov pistol. The course also includes lectures on nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and first aid for injuries.
Another section of the module is military-political training, within which students will be told about international relations, the development of Russia and its "place and role in a multipolar world." 108 hours will be allocated for the entire module, of which 72 will be held in classrooms. The Ministry of Education and Science emphasizes that universities should equip a parade ground in accordance with military regulations, as well as a field base for training in the use of fortifications and minefields.
The module will be divided into 36 pairs. If you put two per week, then the entire course will take a semester, if one at a time, then it will stretch for a year. Progress will be monitored through assessments. Intermediate attestation for the module will be held in the form of a test, which will be used to test, among other things, practical knowledge.
