Panfilova was diagnosed with fetal retardation and recommended hospitalization. She was hospitalized on January 19, but almost immediately returned to the detention center, where she went into labor ten days later. The baby turned out to be stillborn.
The press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service stated that “Panfilova was not committed to the proposed treatment and had not led a healthy lifestyle for a long time. The girl’s relatives deny this.
Panfilova was sent to a pre-trial detention center in December for violating parole rules: according to the Federal Penitentiary Service, the girl, previously sentenced to 3.5 years for drug possession, evaded employment and failed to report to the penal inspection for registration.
Panfilova’s relatives deny this and say that she constantly went for interviews and was ready, but she was not accepted anywhere because of her criminal record.
