US State Department website blocked in Russia ShareAmerica

Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, blocked the online platform of the US State Department ShareAmerica (share.america.gov) in Russia, it follows from the data of the RKN service for checking blocking.

The site was included in the register of prohibited information on the basis of Article 15.3 of the Law "On Information", which regulates the restriction of access to information containing calls for "mass riots and participation in unauthorized actions, extremism, as well as unreliable socially significant information distributed under the guise of reliable messages (fake)".

A few days ago, the US State Department announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about the Internet Research Agency (Troll Factory) and recidivist felon Yevgeny Prigogine for interfering in the 2016 US presidential election.

After the outbreak of the war, Roskomnadzor demanded that the Russian media only use the term “special operation” when covering the invasion of Ukraine. After the introduction of the law on “fakes” about the Russian army, The Insider, Radio Liberty, Current Time, Crimea.Realii, Voice of America, New Times, Taiga.info, DOXA, Ekho Moskvy were blocked ”, “Rain”, “Medusa”, BBC Russian Service, Deutsche Welle and others. TV channel "Rain", radio "Echo of Moscow" and the Tomsk agency TV2 decided to stop working. In most cases, the blocking was initiated by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office. The human rights project Roskomsvoboda reported that the number of publications blocked in Russia after the start of the war exceeded 5,000.
