Russia Fabricates Evidence of Yelenovka Terror Attack – AP

Russia is working on a fabrication of a terrorist attack in a prison for prisoners of war in Yelenovka in order to shift the blame to Ukraine. This was reported to the Associated Press by a US official familiar with the results of the work of American intelligence.

According to him, the Russian authorities can also plant ammunition from HIMARS. On July 29, immediately after the strike, the pro-Kremlin RIA Novosti did indeed publish a video showing fragments of a HIMARS rocket allegedly found at the site of the terrorist attack in Yelenovka.

On August 3, Ukrainian intelligence reported that the Wagner PMC was behind the attack. She claims that the militants mined the prison premises in order to hide the evidence of their "interrogations".

“The interrogations of the prisoners were carried out by the investigators of the “Ministry of State Security of the DPR” together with representatives of the PMC Wagner and the FSB of Russia. During interrogations, physical torture and beatings were actively used, ”the intelligence report says. She claims that Russia deliberately staged a terrorist attack, as it did not plan to exchange the Azov fighters held in Yelenovka.

An explosion in a colony with prisoners of war in the urban-type settlement of Yelenovka (Donetsk region) occurred on July 29. The so-called “DPR” authorities claimed that the Ukrainian military was responsible for him. At the same time, several military experts and Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin said that the consequences of the strike, which are visible in the photo, are more reminiscent of the action of a thermobaric weapon. The explosion killed 53 people and injured 130.
