In Kherson, an assassination attempt was made on the rector of Kherson University, Tatiana Tomilina, appointed to this post by the Russian occupation authorities of the city. This was reported by Ukrainian journalist Konstantin Ryzhenko with reference to the "press service of the Kherson underground".
According to Ryzhenko, Tomilina is in intensive care, her bodyguard died.
Tomilina advocated the "Russian world" even before the war. In 2015, she claimed that on the site of the city sanitary and epidemiological station, the Americans equipped a biological laboratory with money from the US Department of Defense.
