The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, said that in one of the courtyards in the center of the city, the car of former Ukrainian policeman Denis Stefankov, currently appointed to the position of “head of the people’s police rapid response group” by the occupation “administration,” was blown up. Most likely, it was the result of a purge by the FSB. Fedorov wrote about this in the Telegram channel.

“According to preliminary data, they wanted to eliminate one of the collaborators-policemen - the so-called “head of the State Bureau of Investigation of the People’s Militia” Denis Stefankov,” writes Fedorov. Fedorov did not say if there were any dead or injured as a result of the explosion.

The police of the Zaporozhye region denied these statements, reports TASS. Information about the death of policeman Stefankov in Melitopol is another fake of the Ukrainian media, the Department of Internal Affairs for Melitopol and the Melitopol region said. “Stormy fantasy does not give rest to fake Ukrainian media day or night. Denis Stefankov stands guard over the law in perfect order and health,” the management’s Telegram channel says.

According to the Telegram channel "Insider UA", Stefankov headed the rapid response department and was the head of the interrogation of prisoners.

On Saturday, Ivan Fedorov published a list of 118 current law enforcement officers cooperating with the occupation "administration" of Melitopol.

“Denis Stefankov is one of 118 traitorous police officers against whom we were preparing an arrest for all their real estate and movable property,” Fedorov wrote.
