A new criminal case has been initiated against Alexei Navalny, RT writes , citing its sources. At the same time, it is noted that Navalny will be judged for the “criminal” activities that he conducted while already in the colony.
“The new criminal case is connected with the criminal activity that Navalny, according to the investigation, carried out while already in custody. <...> According to the materials of the case, then the leadership of the FBK and personally its founder urged their supporters to go to uncoordinated rallies against the conduct of a special military operation, ”the channel says.
According to RT sources, Navalny's activities have proven to be "particularly destructive" against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, and now he faces "an additional 15-year term."
“Navalny called on activists, among other things, to overthrow the state system. According to sources, he personally directed the actions of his supporters, which the investigation characterizes as extremist, ”RT writes.
Earlier, the court sentenced Alexei Navalny to 9 years of strict regime in the case of "fraud and insulting the court." During the process, which lasted more than a month, 16 witnesses for the prosecution were questioned. Among the “victims”, former FBK employee Fyodor Gorozhanko also testified, who called the accusation against Navalny absurd and stated that during the interrogation the investigators put pressure on him. Another victim, Mikhail Kostenko, stated right during the meeting that he had no claims against Navalny.
