Turkey will not recognize Russia's annexation of the so-called LPR and DPR, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine, just as it did not recognize the annexation of Crimea. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.
“We cannot make this decision, which is a gross violation of the established principles of international law. We reiterate that we support the end of the increasingly serious war on the basis of a just peace to be achieved through negotiations.
On September 30, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the accession to Russia of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as the "LDNR". The annexation is the result of the "referendums" that took place in the occupied territories on September 23-27. Propaganda channels and publications reported that in the "DPR" 99.23% voted for joining, in the "LPR" - 98.42%, in the Kherson region - 87%, in Zaporozhye - 93.11% of the inhabitants.
