The Russian ambassador to Germany, Sergei Nechaev, was summoned to the country's Foreign Ministry because of the "referenda" on the accession of Ukrainian territories to Russia. It is reported by TASS with reference to the DPA.
According to the agency, Neteshev was summoned "immediately" after Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 30 signed agreements on the entry of the LDNR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia.
On what date the ambassador was summoned, the agency does not report. There were no comments from the Russian Embassy in Germany yet.
Earlier, the Italian Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian Ambassador to the country, Sergei Razov. Based on the results, a commentary will be prepared, the Russian embassy said. The authorities of Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Great Britain and Belgium also announced the summons of Russian ambassadors to the Foreign Ministry. These countries consider the past referendums illegitimate, and Russia's actions - annexation.
