Former Channel One employee Marina Ovsyannikova published a speech for her speech in the Basmanny Court, in which she stated that she refused to comply with house arrest and “releases herself” from it:
“I consider myself completely innocent, and since our state refuses to comply with its own laws, starting from September 30, 2022, I refuse to comply with the measure of restraint established for me in the form of house arrest and release myself from it.”
The Basmanny Court will begin a hearing on changing Ovsyannikova's preventive measure today (October 5) at 10:00 Moscow time.
Ovsyannikova has been under house arrest since August. The case for “fakes” was initiated against her after a picket on Sofiyskaya Embankment, where she came out with a poster “Putin is a murderer, his soldiers are fascists. 352 children died. How many more children have to die for you to stop?
