The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, appointed Artyom Chaika, the eldest son of the former Prosecutor General Yury Chaika, as his adviser on humanitarian, social and economic issues. He reported this on Telegram.

"The scope of Artem Yuryevich's tasks will include: coordination and direct participation in the activities of public organizations in the framework of the implementation of humanitarian and socio-economic projects in which the Chechen Republic is involved."

In 2020, Artyom Chaika's wife Marina asked for protection because of the impossibility of obtaining a divorce from her husband and the threats she received. In January 2021, she was abducted by unknown persons, held in the basement for several hours, handcuffed, and given an unknown substance to drink. Her lawyer Ekaterina Gordon told The Insider about this.

In 2016, Artem Chaika became the sole owner of the largest crushed stone producer, he consolidated 100% of LLC UK PNK. Under its management is the First non-metallic company. It is one of the largest crushed stone producers in Russia. Another co-owner of the company, former top manager of Russian Railways Sergey Vilshenko, left this business. Before that, Chaika officially became the owner of the largest supplier of edible salt in the Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts.
