Several explosions sounded in Belgorod, according to the correspondent of RIA Novosti, at least 16. The publication writes that this is the work of air defense.
Local Telegram channels, citing eyewitnesses, write about hits near the airport. The Vot Tak correspondent reports that the airport building itself was not damaged, but there is a smell of smoke near it.
Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov writes in his Telegram channel that three people were injured as a result of the shelling:
“As a result of the shelling in Belgorod, three people were injured in one family. Two men with shrapnel wounds. They have already been sent to the hospital. The woman received outpatient care on the spot.”
He also said that several houses, fences and cars were damaged. According to Baza, the Belgorod Ministry of Internal Affairs has been put on alert.
