A Su-34 military aircraft crashed on a residential building in Yeysk, Krasnodar Territory. According to preliminary data, the pilots managed to eject. At least one person died in a plane crash in Yeysk, three more, including a child, were hospitalized in serious condition, according to Mash.

The plane was with full ammunition, according to the Telegram channel "112". As a result of the fire, 15 apartments were damaged. Firefighters have not yet been able to localize the fire.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed the fall of the Su-34 military aircraft. He performed a training flight from the military airfield of the Southern Military District and crashed, RBC reports .

“On October 17, 2022, while climbing to perform a training flight from the military airfield of the Southern Military District, a Su-34 aircraft crashed. He fell in the city of Yeysk. According to the report of the ejected pilots, the cause of the crash was the ignition of one of the engines during takeoff. At the site of the crash of the Su-34 in the courtyard of one of the residential areas, the fuel of the aircraft ignited, ”the report said.

According to The Insider's calculations, made from open sources, since the beginning of the military invasion of Ukraine, non-combat losses of aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces amounted to 12 units.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Krasnodar Territory notes that the floors from the 1st to the 5th are on fire. The rank of fire No. 3 is declared. Earlier, the unified dispatching service reported that the fire had completely engulfed one of the entrances of the nine-story building.
