The identity of citizens of Tajikistan who opened fire on October 15 at a training ground in the Belgorod region, as a result of which 11 people were killed and 15 more were injured, was established. Baza reports this, publishing a photo of one of them.

According to the publication, 23-year-old Rakhmonov Mehrob and 24-year-old Eskhon Aminzod (pictured), who were mobilized as volunteers, opened fire. Both citizens arrived at the site on October 11, a few days before the incident. Both Rakhmonov Mehrob and Eskhon Aminzod, according to the Ministry of Defense, were "destroyed by return fire."

The publication also publishes a list of servicemen who died at the training ground. Among them are residents of Moscow, Murmansk, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Rostov regions, the Republic of Yakutia and one native of Ukraine:

  • Tsyganov N., 55 years old, Ryazan;
  • Lipin N., 44 years old, Lukoyanov;
  • Sapkalov A., 28 years old, Voskresensk;
  • Kirichenko V., 52 years old, Yakutia;
  • Agafonov N., 45 years old, Nizhny Novgorod;
  • Tinyakov V., 55 years old, Ukraine;
  • Groshkov G., 51 years old, Pavlovo;
  • Evdoshchuk O., 24 years old, Volsk;
  • Godunov V., 39 years old, Severomorsk;
  • Sinitsin D., 36 years old, Voskresensk;
  • Gafetdinov V., 41 years old, Volgodonsk.

On October 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that two citizens of "one of the CIS countries" opened fire at a training ground in the Belgorod region, as a result of which 11 people were killed and 15 wounded. The incident took place during firearms training with volunteers wishing to participate in the war in Ukraine. The Insider's source in Belgorod reported that the conflict most likely occurred on ethnic grounds.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Belgorod region has come under fire more often than other Russian regions. Explosions occur in the border areas, villages are shelled, the governor has repeatedly reported damage to houses. On the evening of October 13, explosions thundered near the village of Oktyabrsky, after which a fire broke out. Baza reported that several employees of the National Guard were killed, and 14 more were injured of varying severity. In early October, Gladkov reported on the shelling of a substation in Shebekino by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and two days later he said that Ukraine had shelled a customs checkpoint in the same city, as a result, the border crossing practically "ceased to exist."
