The South Korean company LG may close a plant in the Moscow region and move production to Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan, Kommersant writes , citing sources.

According to the publication, LG is negotiating in Uzbekistan with Artel, which also produces Samsung equipment. According to the source, part of the top management has already moved to Tashkent. According to another, LG is negotiating with the authorities of Kazakhstan.

As Kommersant notes, moving to Uzbekistan would be more logical and convenient for the company, since LG has not had a plant in Kazakhstan since 1998.

There are no official comments from the company on this matter yet.

After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, LG suspended the supply of products to Russia. Six months later, LG's TV market share in Russia fell by half.
