A resident of the Belgorod region, whose account contains the name Ellina Bratash, demanded in a petition to move Ukrainian troops away from the borders of the region. At the moment, the petition posted on VKontakte has been signed by 26,112 people.

Bratash asks "to take measures and move the enemy troops" from the borders, since "civilians suffer from regular shelling."

Earlier in October, in the Belgorod region, which is subject to retaliatory shelling after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they began to install "protective structures." After almost eight months of the war, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov published a photo of the installed concrete gouges, which should protect against the passage of equipment, such as tanks.

Since the beginning of the war, the Belgorod region has been regularly under fire, the authorities have already reported the death of civilians. So, on October 22, Gladkov reported that in the city of Shebekino, two civilians were killed as a result of shelling, almost 15 thousand people were disconnected from electricity due to a shell hit. On the evening of October 13, explosions thundered near the village of Oktyabrsky, after which a fire broke out. Baza reported that several employees of the National Guard were killed, and 14 more were injured of varying severity. In addition, on October 15, according to the Ministry of Defense, two citizens of "one of the CIS countries" opened fire at a training ground in the Belgorod region. As a result, 11 people were killed and 15 injured.
