The Russian Foreign Ministry has permanently banned the entry of 200 US citizens. A statement with a surname list is published on the department's website.

The persons involved in the "list-200" are included in the Russian "stop list" on an ongoing basis, the text says. The list includes ministers and their deputies, senators, historians, as well as close relatives of government officials and company executives "involved in promoting the Russophobic campaign and supporting the regime in Kyiv."

So, the list includes Valerie Biden Owens, the sister of US President Joe Biden, as well as Biden's brothers: James and Francis. Also on the list was Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“In response to the ever-increasing personal sanctions imposed by the Biden Administration not only against Russian officials, representatives of the business community and the public, cultural figures, but also those who for one reason or another are objectionable to Washington, on the basis of reciprocity, a ban on entry into the Russian Federation for 200 US Citizens."

President Joe Biden was banned from entering Russia back in May.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also banned the entry of 41 Canadian citizens in response to "another anti-Russian personal sanctions." In April, Russia banned British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and 12 other members of the British government, including Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss, from entering the country. Sanctions against Russia, due to which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs began to ban the entry of foreign politicians and artists, were introduced against the backdrop of the invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine.
