Article 1 of the Code, “Basic Principles of Family Legislation”, proposes to include provisions on the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. They are understood as “landmarks that form the worldview of Russian citizens, transmitted from generation to generation, underlying the all-Russian civic identity and a single cultural space of the country.”
We are talking about “preserving, strengthening and promoting traditional family values, ensuring the continuity of generations, caring for a decent life for the older generation, shaping the idea of saving the people of Russia as a main strategic national priority.”
