In 2022, the demand for private bunkers has increased several times, especially noticeable growth was recorded after the start of mobilization. RBC-Nedvizhimost writes about this with reference to companies that are engaged in the construction of such facilities. A private bunker can be built, for example, in a summer cottage.
According to the founder of the BunkerHouse project, Nikita Malezhik, after September 21, the number of requests on the company's website regarding the construction of bunkers increased by 430%. “Although far from all of the applications have reached implementation, there was increased interest. This was not observed even after the start of the NWO,” Malezhik said.
“For example, people called us and said that they needed a bunker for nine people right tomorrow. What, in principle, could not be implemented in such a short time, the construction takes an average of two to three months, ”the expert notes.
There are several types of bunkers that can be placed on your own site. These are modular objects: when a ready-made bunker is brought in and mounted on the site. For example, it can be a metal "barrel" with all the necessary equipment inside, which is buried at the site, RBC experts say. There are also capital construction projects – when the bunker is built in reinforced concrete directly on the site. Under the bunker, you can convert an existing room, for example, a basement. Both types of bunkers can protect against artillery shells, mortar attacks or shock waves.
The cost of the bunker depends on its area, equipment, concept, as well as the geological properties of the land. The minimum cost starts from 1 million rubles for a concrete structure, hydro and thermally insulated along the contour. The cost of a bunker in a converted basement can be 6-7 million rubles. If new facilities are being built, then the price starts from 15-20 million rubles, RBC experts say.
