A meeting of the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has been urgently convened in Poland. The meeting is being convened amid unconfirmed reports that two rockets hit Poland during a massive attack on Ukraine.

The explosions in the village of Przewodov in the Lubelskie Voivodeship near the border with Ukraine were reported by the Polish Radio ZET. According to this information, two people died.

The Prime Minister of Poland urged the media not to replicate unverified information and said that the meeting would be held on the issue of the "Ukrainian crisis", he did not give other details.

At the same time, Radio Lublin reports a different version. The incident in Przevodov occurred at about 15:40 on the reloading scales, where tractors with loads drive in. This information of the radio station was confirmed by the local police. According to preliminary findings, the tractor that drove onto the scale suddenly exploded. The radio also reports the death of two people.

The Polish Air Force took off fighters from the Tomaszow-Lubelski airfield. The army and the prosecutor's office arrived at the farm, Visegrad reports.

According to American intelligence, Russian missiles crossed the territory of Poland. It is reported by the Associated Press, citing a senior official. At the same time, the Pentagon said it could not confirm reports that two Russian missiles fell on Polish territory.

Polish military expert Yaroslav Volsky suggested that it could be a Russian cruise missile or a Ukrainian air defense missile.

The Minister of Defense of Latvia Artis Pabriks also wrote about the fall of the missiles on Twitter.

“My condolences to our Polish brothers in arms. The criminal Russian regime fired missiles that not only targeted the civilian population of Ukraine, but also fell on NATO territory in Poland. Latvia fully supports our Polish friends and condemns this crime,” the minister wrote .
